Summer is definitely here which means that it is time for the Whitford Summer Show, and we  are fortunate to have Romy Fraser from Trill Farm to open the show which is starting a little earlier at 2pm.

We are looking forward to having a great display of flowers and vegetables in the Marquee, together with a wide selection of cookery, crafts and wonderful imaginative entries in the children’s section.

There will  be classic cars and an assortment of tractors old and new, and our fun dog show which is extremely popular, and every year we have many happy owners and their dogs proudly displaying  the  beautiful rosettes that they have won.   The Chard Brass Band and The Jurassix singing Shanty songs will be entertaining us throughout the afternoon.   We are pleased to say that we have many local crafts stalls for you to wander around and then relax whilst having a cream tea or a beer and enjoy a local sourced burger or sizzling sausage.  Chris Norcotts cider will also be joining us again this year with his tasty ciders one of which is his new rhubarb cider.  So do come along as there is so much more to see.
